DTF or Direct to Film Printing is a decoration method where ink is applied to a transfer film from a digital image using a combination of White, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black ink. That film is then coated in a powdered adhesive which is backed to bond it to the ink and also evenly spread it out. The transfer is then applied directly to the fabric via a heat press.
As a CMYK and White printer DTF can handle full colour prints meaning you can have any number of colours in your design for the same price. Also, as there are no screen to prepare, there is no minimum order. You can order just 1 garment or thousands depending on your needs.
DTF prints can be super bold and are probably the closest you can get to our high solids screen printing.
Excellent for both bold areas of colour and photographic designs with gradients.
DTF prints are the most versatile method of decorating garments. They can be applied to difficult to reach areas of a garment, to hats, curved surfaces, insulated jackets and trick fabrics like recyled polyester and nylon/polyamide.
