Frequently Asked Questions

Which printing process

should I choose?

Screen Printing

  • Best for solid colours and most economical for bulk orders. If you are ordering over 50 garmnets of the same design we would strongly recommend Screen Printing.

DTG Printing

  • Best for gradients or photographic prints and low order quantities. Great for sampling for other print methods although colours will most likely differe between Screen Printing and DTG.

We also offer Embroidery, Special FX, Fine Art and Giclee Printing on sustainable paper and card.

What are the artwork upload

specifications?

DTG Printing

  • Artwork must be submitted in a .tiff or .png format.
  • To re-colour your artwork in our designer submit an .eps vector file
  • Avoid fades, see our transparency guidelines for more information.
  • Edges must be crisp to avoid unwanted print results. See out artwork guides for more info.

Screen Printing

  • Artwork must be submitted in a .eps / .svg or a high resolution .tiff
  • Edges of your artwork must be crisp
  • Halftones should be avoided where possible and completed by us (£15 charge) or by customer following our settings..

What is the usual turnaround

for an order?

  • DTG and Screen Printing:  on average around 12- 14 working days however during peak times it can be longer. Your order details accessible through your account will give you an estimate based on the current predicted turnaround at the time of order.

  • Labelling adds 1-3 working days on top of the printing (depedning on quantity and detail of labels)

All estimates are a production aim, not a guarantee. This estimate is a timeframe for when we ship the item, not for when it arrives at your doorstep.

Can I order a sample product?

Sample orders are available to order. DTG printing and Embroidery has a MOQ of 1 unit, making them perfect options for samples.

If you are using DTG to sample but would like to use Screen Printing for a larger run, please bear in mind that the colours and finish will vary between the two methods.

What are the MOQ’s

(Minimum Order Quantities)?

  • Screen Printing: 20 units per design

  • DTG and Embroidery: 1 unit per design

Can you split MOQ orders

in ink/garment colours?

With Screen Printing, splitting your minimum order of 20 units between different designs and garment colours is not possible.

You must have a MOQ of 20 units that are the same design and  colour. However, you can split these 20 units into different sizes.

What are shipping fees and times?

All delivery prices vary depedning on the weight of your shipment.

We Offer:

  • DPD Local Tracked: from £7.50
  • Royal Mail (1st Class, 24, 48, 24 Tracked, 48 Tracked)

Are there any added charges?

All our quotes are excluding VAT and delivery charges.

Other than this, added charges can include:

  • Rush Order charge
  • Colour mixing
  • Special FX/Metallic/ Fluro inks
  • Coloured garments require a white base for further colours to be added, so will be quoted as a 2-colour design (but this is automatically calculated)
  • Folding and Bagging
  • Barcodes/Stickers

Do you offer Embroidery services?

We offer plastic- free embroidery using Rayon and Tencel threads.

All Embroidery orders (except the text option in our designer) require a £20.00 digitisation fee for your artwork to be processed specifically to our Embroidery machine. This is a not a repeat fee each time, just with each new design.  If you have digitised embroidery files already we may be able to use them, in which case the digitisation fee will not be required

Is there a cancellation fee?

If the blank garments are yet to be ordered and artwork processing is yet to commence, then cancelling your order with us may be possible.

If garments have already been ordered or recieved in the studio, we cannot return the items without incurring a returns fee of 25% of the garment cost + shipping which will be deducted from your refund. Once the printing process has begun we are unable to cancel an order.

Can I provide my own garments?

We only allow sustainable garments into our studio so as long as your products are GOTS certified organic cotton, GRS recycled or Tencel we can most likely accept them. Please get in touch if you are any doubt. If the label just says 100% Cotton, your garment is most likely conventionally grown cotton and we don't accept that in our studio.
